Business
“Delegate the work, not the entire inbox.”
Workspace membership, mailbox access and an assigned email task are three separate things. Business collaboration keeps them that way.
Customer enquiries, supplier messages, support requests, invoices and operational email all demand attention — from different places.
More than one authorised team member may need to work from a shared mailbox like support@ or sales@.
An employee may need to action one customer request without needing access to every email in that account.
Belonging to a shared workspace should never automatically expose a privately connected mailbox.
Business collaboration
A fictional example: Alex owns the business, Sam heads up support, and Julie is on the support team. The shared mailbox is support@example.com.
Alex (the owner) and Sam (Head of Support) have authorised access to the shared support mailbox. Julie, a support team member, does not.
A customer email arrives in the shared mailbox. Sam reviews it and decides it needs a follow-up.
Sam turns this one customer email into a task, assigns it to Julie and adds a note: “Please confirm the customer's requirements and prepare a response.”
The task appears in Julie's Tasks view. She reads the assigned conversation and moves the status from Open to In progress.
“Requirements confirmed. Preparing the requested information.” Notes form a running log with authors and timestamps — nothing gets overwritten.
The status and note history stay with the task. Sam can track progress and reassign if priorities change — all without Julie browsing the rest of the mailbox.
“Delegate the work, not the entire inbox.”
“Your personal email stays yours.”
Privately connected accounts remain visible only to their owner — including from administrators — unless the owner explicitly shares them. Assigning a task lets the assignee read that conversation and add task notes and status; it does not permit browsing the originating mailbox, sending from it, opening unrelated conversations or accessing other connected accounts. Broader configurable team permissions remain planned.Coming soon

No. A privately connected mailbox stays visible only to the person who connected it — including from workspace administrators — unless they explicitly choose to share it.
They can read the assigned conversation, add task notes and update the task status. Assignment does not give them general access to the originating mailbox, permission to send from it, or access to unrelated correspondence.

Give everyone the visibility they need — and only the access they should have. CommsRadar is launching soon.
